Advanced Network Cable Design for High-Performance Audio

The Reiki Audio KinuStream Elite is a high-performance network cable developed through extensive R&D and comparative listening tests, incorporating many of the design principles learned during the development of Reiki Audio’s flagship JundoStream.

Designed to offer a more compact and accessible alternative to JundoStream, KinuStream Elite sits between the RakuStream and JundoStream in the Reiki Audio range. Its construction focuses heavily on shielding, noise control, vibration management and careful termination, making it particularly well suited to high-performance digital audio systems.

Quad-Shielded Pure Copper Construction

KinuStream Elite uses eight stranded 26 AWG pure copper conductors, arranged as four tightly twisted pairs. Each pair is individually foil-wrapped to provide 100% shield coverage and help reduce crosstalk between the conductors.

The four individually shielded pairs are then surrounded by multiple layers of additional shielding:

• First copper braid
• Overall aluminium shield
• Dense outer copper braid providing more than 95% coverage
• Protective polymer jacket

This four-layer shielding arrangement is designed to provide a very high level of protection against unwanted electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference.

Directionally Grounded Shielding

Like other Reiki Audio network cables, the KinuStream Elite uses directional shield grounding, with the shield connected at the switch end only.

This approach is intended to provide protection from radiated RFI while avoiding the cable becoming an unnecessary path for unwanted high-frequency noise between the network switch and streamer.

The result is a cable designed to complement the noise-reduction benefits of high-quality network switches and fibre network bridges such as the Reiki Audio SuperSwitch and OpticalBridge.

Silk Anti-Vibration Layer

Reiki Audio has also incorporated a silk braid into the cable construction to provide an anti-vibration layer around the shielded cable assembly.

A protective PET outer braid is then applied before the cable is terminated with heatshrink and high-quality Telegärtner RJ45 plugs.

The combination of electrical shielding and mechanical construction reflects Reiki Audio’s broader approach to controlling both electrical noise and unwanted vibration within the digital audio system.

Designed for High-Speed Network Audio

KinuStream Elite comfortably meets Cat 8 performance requirements and supports data rates well beyond those required by high-resolution audio streaming systems.

While suitable for general Ethernet networking, the cable is particularly intended for the final network connection between a switch and audio streamer, where careful attention to network noise and system architecture can be important.

Hand Assembled in England

Every KinuStream Elite is assembled, tested and packed by hand in Reiki Audio’s own workshops in central England.

The manufacturing process is deliberately labour-intensive, relying on skilled assembly rather than automated production. Each cable receives careful attention throughout its construction and testing before being supplied.
